The Good Samaritan

The Good Samaritan is the story of a man who thinks he can earn salvation by doing everything perfectly, based on Jesus’s parable of The Good Samaritan from Luke 10:29-37.

Will Evans is the busy and dedicated music and worship director at a local church. He doesn’t realize how his self-absorption and his results-oriented focus have blinded him to the needs of the people he serves, including the increasing needs of his own mother. What will happen when Sam joins the choir and turns Will’s mindset upside down? This modern-day retelling of the parable of The Good Samaritan challenges us to think about not only who is our neighbor but also the impossibility of earning our own salvation, no matter how “perfect” we are.
