Auditions  are conducted during the summer each year. They include time to sit down and visit with Director, Jill Lagerberg. She is eager to get to know you and hear about your heart for ministry. And she will tell you more about KnoxCAM and answer any questions you have. Auditions also include time for you to demonstrate your skill as a performing artist:

Singers: Jill will ask you to sing some brief vocal exercises to check your vocal range and see where you are most comfortable singing. If you have a prepared song to sing, please bring it. If not, she will ask you to sing a favorite hymn or worship song.

Instrumentalists: Please bring your instrument and a prepared piece to play. Jill also will give you music from a recent concert so you can see what typical KnoxCAM music is like.

Handbells: You will have opportunity to meet with our Handbell Director, as well as with Jill. We will want to hear about your previous experience with bells.

Actors: Our need for actors changes each year, depending on our story. We publish our actor needs on Facebook, on this website, and in various other outlets each year. You will have an opportunity to meet with our Drama Director, as well as with Jill. When you come to audition, you will be asked to read from the script of the current story. Before the audition, we will send you a synopsis of the story and the scene you will be asked to read so that you can prepare.

Dancers: You will have an opportunity to meet with our Dance Director, as well as with Jill. Please wear clothes you can move in and bring dance shoes so that you can learn and demonstrate a short combination with our Dance Director.

Before requesting an audition; Please pray about whether God is calling you to performing arts outreach ministry. Check out Is KnoxCAM Right for Me?  Then review our Statement of Core Values and Beliefs, which we ask all our members to sign.  To learn more about the time commitment involved, see our Concert Schedule and our weekly Rehearsal Schedule.  If you are convinced after prayerful consideration that you have a heart for KnoxCAM, are in agreement with our Core Values and Beliefs, and are willing to make the necessary time commitment (a one-year minimum commitment is required), we want to hear from you!
