2020-2021 Lost and Found, The Story of a Prodigal

Because KnoxCAM was unable to travel and perform to audiences in person in 2020 due to COVID, we made our very first film! One hundred sixty people volunteered their time and talents over a period of eighteen months to bring the film to fruition! It is being distributed free of charge via DVD and streaming service to prisons and to anyone else who would like to use it in ministry. We are excited to see how God is using this film to work in new ways in a potentially much wider are of ministry.

Lost and Found is a modern-day retelling of Jesus’s parable of The Prodigal Son, found in Luke 15. It is a story about the power of the father’s unfailing love and forgiveness to bring healing, not only to the well-known prodigal son, but to his older child as well.

Danny feels imprisoned on the family farm and will use any means necessary to break away and move to Nashville. His older sister Jesse has taken on most of the burden of working the farm and caring for their ailing father Joshua. Then COVID hits and their world is turned upside down. With one child full of rebellion and the other full of resentment, will Joshua’s unfailing love be enough to heal their brokenness?

Lost and Found premiered at the beautiful Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville on Monday August 16, 2021! Check out a behind-the-scenes video and some photos of our film shoot!
